'Pokémon Go' Update: New Research Tasks and Raid Bosses

The latest event in Pokémon Go has begun and trainers are enjoying seeing Pokémon with unique evolution methods appearing more often in the overworld, Research Tasks, hatching from Eggs, and in Raid Battles.

As the event goes on, we have begun compiling the Pokémon that will appear in Raid Battles as well as reward encounters for completing special Research Tasks.

The new Raid update will change a bit for three hours on Saturday, but until the Evolution event ends on December 18 trainers can expect to see these Pokémon in the new Research Tasks and Raids.

Here's everything we know about the Research Tasks and Raid Bosses during Pokémon Go's Evolution Event.

POKEMON GO RESEARCH TASK UPDATE

Being an event focusing on evolution it's not surprising that the new Research Tasks are based on evolving your Pokémon.

Here is every new Research Tasks and their rewards during Pokémon Go's Evolution Event.

POKEMON GO RAID UPDATE

Like the overworld and special Research Tasks, the bosses found in Raids during this event have unique evolution methods.

Whether it's the branched gender evolutions of Ralts or the item evolutions like Lickitung, Scyther and Togetic, these Pokémon will not only give trainers a possible good base Pokémon to evolve, but candy and other goodie for defeating them.

During the Evolution Event, evolution items will be rewarded for defeating Raids so be sure to go all out and fight in every Raid you can.

Here's the new Raid Bosses in Pokémon Go during the Evolution Event:

  • On Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time, the Raid Bosses will change once again to feature the Kanto Starters. Trainers will be able to receive up to five additional Raid Passes during the event hours giving more chances to battle and catch these rare Pokémon.
