For ‘Pokémon’ Fans That Have Gotta Catch ‘Em All, Bandai Is Releasing A Pokédex iPhone Case Next Year

The upcoming Pokédex iPhone case from Bandai.

Bandai, The Pokémon Company

If you grew up watching the Pokémon anime back in the 90s and own an iPhone, then Bandai has the Pokédex case you’ve been waiting for.

Specifically, Bandai is selling a bespoke Pokédex case from its Premium Bandai online store for a very reasonable 3,980 yen (or around $37).

Catered mainly for the iPhone X, with dimensions of 170mm by 105mm, this Pokédex case can also accommodate the iPhone XS, 6, 7 and 8. However, the iPhone XR, XS Max and 11 are not supported. In addition, this case won’t fit Android devices either.

Just like the Generation 1 Pokédex (shown below), this case has the same button layout on the cover, but obviously lacks the original internal configuration.

Pre-orders for this Pokédex case are now open, with it expected to be released sometime in March next year.

However, as this is a Premium Bandai release it means that it will only ship within Japan for now.

In any case, if you have always wanted to be the very best, like no-one ever was, then Bandai seemingly has you covered with this Pokédex case. Though it’s worth pointing out that this is an entirely cosmetic Pokédex and won’t actually let you catalog Pokémon in the wild.
