Pokemon Sword and Shield, the latest entries in the quarter century-old Pokemon franchise and the fastest-selling game on the Nintendo Switch, is on sale right now all over the place:

Like many of their predecessors, Pokemon Sword and Shield are companion games that allow players to explore an open world with cutting-edge graphics and many features brand new to the franchise, like cooperative raid encounters, dynamic weather effects, and "Poke Jobs" minigames.

While older Pokemon games hid the Pokemon in tall grass until they attacked, Sword and Shield instead shows realistically sized Pokemon roaming the world, curing the notorious "Zubat problem" (where constant attacks from Zubats made traveling long distances a repetitive, fight-filled slog) and making the entire game feel more real and lived-in.

Called the best Pokemon game ever by IGN, and one of the most popular games on the Switch console, Pokemon Sword and Shield are the definition of must-own for fans of the franchise.
